Look ... I'm in a Diet to Go Article!

Ok boys and girls, as promised, my mug has shown up in a Diet to Go article at http://diettogo.com/article/see-how-kim-lost-41-lbs-so-far. John has done an excellent job at rewriting the information that I sent. It's hard to believe that I have come this far on the plan. I still have a long ways to go but I have come so far.

Am I Over The Plateau?

I have been on a steady weight loss for the past couple of days. I increased the water intake and that seems to have pushed the problem in the right direction. Right now I am sitting on 43.6 pounds of weight loss. My weight has dropped for the last three days straight and that gives me hope. I still haven't stopped the sugar intake from coffee but I have pretty much stopped the outside snacks except for some slices of cheese here and there. The extra water helps to flush the salt gain in those. I am more and more convinced that water is the key here. You just have to get used to drinking a lot of it (in my case I am going for 10 glasses per day over and above any coffee I drink). More later.

Feels good to loose a little weight

I went to REI today to get my wife a backpack for any trips that we might take thus year if we get the chance. It occured to me that I now am able to fit into a few of the clothes this store sells now that I have lost most of my belly. That's a good thing. Ibthink by the end of the month, I will probably be able to go for my second round of clothes buying. The first was to get a suit coat and accompanying pants and shirts that fit my slimmer figure since my other clothes are way too big on me. I was down 41.6 pounds today - I will achieve my goal by summers end I feel.

Great Quote from Diet-to-Go on Facebook ...

Diet-to-Go A great way to lose weight is to eat while you are naked and standing in front of a mirror. Restaurants will almost always throw you out before you can eat too much.

Found someone else interested

I passed out my name and email to someone today who has a rising interest in Diet To Go plans. Maybe I should get a job with them. I am really enthused about the quality of the food and that is half the battle of a diet in my book. I can understand why people do not stay on a diet if they don't like the food. In fact, when weight watchers started, the food was horrendous. The diet to go folks have looked onto what is good, good for you, and contains a proper balance of vitamins and other nutrients that you need. When a diet company consults with the likes of Heart experts and dieticians you know their focus is in the right place. I have not been disappointed.

It's a Good Morning ... Egg and Broccoli Pie

Wow, when I went to the 'fridge this morning I found out that I was having Egg and Broccoli pie for breakfast.  This is one of my favorites from Diet to Go.  The crust is just right for what the pie claims to be and there is all of the cheese that I could ever want in addition to the egg and broccoli in the pie.  I am feeling good this morning, back from a workout at the gym and looking forward to what the day brings.  I did manage to get in an application for a government job with the Army National Guard.  I don't know what will become of it but it sounded like something close to what I would not only be able to do but might just excel at.  The resume input process on the government site was quite a different story.  No free flowing text input, you had to use their templates to put in your resume.  When I was done I had 4 pages worth of input instead of my nice 2 page resume, geared towards software development and independent validation and verification of software.  I would really like to get an IV&V job though - I enjoy tracing requirements and reviewing design and concept documents.  I will continue to pursue this type o

Loosing Weight is Unpredictable ...

Well, looking at my weight loss curve now reminds me of other times when my weight loss slowed down to a crawl.  I have no one to blame for this except myself - I have started adding sugar to the coffee, snacks composed of cranberries (sugared) and almonds, and the occasional cheese stick.  Plus, I don't think that I have been drinking enough water.  As a result, my weight loss has leveled out at 40 pounds for the last 3 weeks.  I can't blame the snow (even when I was sitting and not exercising), nor can I blame my metabolism (I work out at least 4 times a week, burning at least 400 to 600 calories per pop).  I said that it was a head game and now my weight loss curve proves it - Now is the time to get off of the snacks and drink more water.  Back up to 10 cups per day to see if I can flush this stuff away and retrieve my loss back.  This is going to send my weight loss into the summer for sure.  Gripe, gripe, gripe!!!
