Diet
I just went through 30 pounds of weight loss this morning. You cannot imagine how good it feels to reach that milestone. Even with the stress of everything hoing on around me, this is something that I have been striving for but always found elusive on other programs.
The muffins from DTG are always good and they make it easy to chow down on. The yogurt is excellent, very tasty and of a very good quality.
I was able to get my heart rate up on the treadmill finally this morning, I did 30 mins at an incline of 10.0, speed of 3.3, and burned through 460 calories. Cool.

I Am sitting here really enjoying my dinner of veggie raviolli. This is one of my favorite meals from DTG on the veggie plan. The flavors of the ratatouille mixed with the raviolli make this a real treat. I haven't even started the mousse yet; how's that for liking the flavor. When you are on a diet and the food doesn't taste good you will not stay on it. The DTG food not only tastes good but is actually well balanced to achieve your goal.

As always the scones from DTG are very good. It was enjoyable eating the meal and even better now that my body has settled Down from the holidays. I had my first class in Tai Chi last night and I have to say that it was more difficult than I had originally thought. I had great difficulty in understanding the main instructor because of the heavy Chinese accent. I mainly watched and followed what the other students did. That turns out to be the best way of doing the motions. It was a lot of streatching at first followed by repetition of the forms. |

Sure looks like my weight is going to go down memory lane again. The holidays are really hard on a dieter. I am loosing weight probably as fast as I ever had on any diet, but you still have those moments when the weight pops back up. Fortunately I know that there were a few extra calories thrown in there and I did switch to some not strictly vegetarian stuff. That would account for the gain. Well I went to the gym this morning and even though I was there for a long time (I was off today), I didn't get much accomplished. I talked a little too much and exercised a little too little. It is definately an achievement, I have reached the 10% weight loss point. This was quite a big deal when I was with Weight Watchers many years ago. I ended up loosing a bit of weight but gained it back plus some. I now have my head wrapped around the problem, including a really worthwhile goal of getting off of blood pressure medicine. It's starting to feel like I am accomplishing what I set out to do. I am starting to feel much better now. The time at the gym was very productive this morning. I still have to hold off on running on the treadmill. I weigh too much to start that activity. I have no problem visualizing myself at the goal weight now.
